The Tri County Northeast Wolfpack volleyball team picked up another convincing home victory on Monday, September 28, sweeping the Wakefield Lady Trojans in three sets at Emerson-Hubbard High School.
TCNE controlled the match from the opening serve, taking the first set 25-16. Wakefield battled closer in the second, but the Wolfpack held on for a 25-21 victory before closing out the sweep with another 25-16 win in the third.
Joslyn Mackling led the Wolfpack attack with seven kills, while Delaney Fuchser added six kills. Briley Anderson and Cora Ridenour each contributed two kills as TCNE finished with 19 kills as a team. Setter Ally Belt directed the offense with 17 assists.
The Wolfpack were especially effective from the service line, recording nine aces. Anderson led the way with four aces and 10 service points, while Jayda Stallbaum added two aces. Mackling, Belt, and Emily Mitchell each recorded an ace.
Defensively, Mackling and Belt paced TCNE with five digs apiece. Fuchser contributed to two blocks, while Stallbaum and Belt also helped at the net.
The straight-set victory gave the Wolfpack another strong showing in front of their home crowd as they continued their season with a 25-16, 25-21, 25-16 sweep of the Lady Trojans.
