Great conditions leads to great times by TCNE Cross Country Runners…
Athletes from Tri County Northeast competed extremely well this past Thursday, September 10th at Cedarview Country Club.
The boys team placed 7th in the team race, led by Senior Jude Ridenour running 18:31.62 which would be good enough for 8th place on the day. Jude is off to a great start this season, earning a medal at every meet thus far. Behind him was Tucker Anderson running a fantastic time of 21:27.53 good enough for 31st place. Matthew Bousquet posted a time of 24:35.39 and Timmy Peters posting a time of 25:10.87 good enough for 54th and 58th place respectively.
The girls team was again led by Freshman Karlee Duncan who’s time of 26:03.48 was good enough for 23rd place. Closely behind her was Junior Hailey Millard with a finish of 29th place in a time of 28:03.87.
The combined Junior high race also had TCNE athletes competing. Ingrid Speiser collected her first medal of her cross country career. She posted a time of 12:43.5 good enough for a 7th place medal. Jayden Wilcox ran a time of 15:43.22 which landed her in 25th place, and Naya Shultz finished in 33rd place with a time of 17:22.98.
Mikey Ridenour was the lone boy, running a time of 12:32.22, just missing out on a medal in 16th place.
TCNE athletes have a busy upcoming week with the Wayne Invite on 9/14/26 and the Pender Invite on 9/17/26.
