TCNE Competes Twice this Past Week

TCNE athletes competed this past week at two different meets in Northeast Nebraska. Monday the 14th, Wayne hosted their Blue Devil Invite.

The top Wolfpack male finisher was Jude Ridenour in 6th place with a time of 18:41.0. Following behind was Tucker Anderson finishing in 24th place with a time of 21:15.0. Matthew Bousquet posted another great time with 25:50.2, and Timmy Peters in 55th place and a time of 27:15.4. Junior high runner, Mikey Ridenour also competed and earned an 8th place medal with a time of 14:29.9 over the 3000M course.

The Wolfpack girls were led by Karlee Duncan finishing just out of gaining a medal in 16th place with a time of 26:45.1. Hailey Millard also posted a time of 29:14.1 good enough for 24th place. Junior high competitors were Ingrid Speiser earning a medal for 9th place in a time of 15:10.7 and Naya Shultz in 27th place with a time of 19:51.0.

Great efforts were put forth at the Wayne invite and we are hoping to see that effort continue into the weeks coming.

 

On Thursday September 17th the TCNE Cross Country team was in action again but this time at Twin Creeks Golf Course in Pender. The ladies team was paced by Karlee Duncan finishing in 37th place with a 24:59.51 in a very stacked field. Closely behind was Junior Chloe Peters in 42nd place in a time of 25:29.26 and Hailey Millard in 48th place with a time of 26:38.15.

The boys race was very competitive and had Jude Ridenour running 18:11.11 for a 10th place medal. Tucker Anderson ran in a time of 22:08.16 which placed him 53rd followed closed behind by Matthew Bousquet in 60th place with a time of 23:44.78. Timothy Peters finished in 64th place with a time of 26:22.75 as well.

The junior high races were fully loaded just like the high school races. Mikey Ridenour, the lone boy runner, achieved 25th place in a time of 8:31.57. The girls were led by Ingrid Speiser just missing the top 10, in 14th place with a time of 8:38.50. Jayden Wilcox ran a great race finishing 22nd in a time of 9:17.06 and Naya Shultz competed well with a time of 11:21.75 finishing in 55th place.

It was a very busy week for the TCNE athletes and will continue next Thursday as they compete in the Crofton XC meet held at the golf course with running times planned for 4:30pm.
