TCNE Wolfpack Earns 3rd place in Stanton Holiday Tournament
TCNE Wolfpack boys basketball team responded in emphatic fashion during the 2nd round of the Stanton Holiday Tournament, shaking off a lopsided day one loss to Twin River by rolling past the Stanton Mustangs 65–41 on the road.
The Wolfpack controlled the tempo from the opening tip and steadily built separation, turning strong defensive pressure into scoring opportunities on the other end. TCNE’s balanced attack and consistent execution allowed them to pull away as the game wore on, securing a convincing victory and continuing a recent trend in the series—marking the fourth straight meeting won by the visiting team.
With the win, Tri County Northeast improved to 2–6 on the season and gained valuable momentum heading into the heart of their schedule.
The Wolfpack will look to build on Tuesday’s performance when they return to action Friday at home at Emerson-Hubbard High School against Cornerstone Christian. TCNE will face a Cougar defense that has allowed just over 51 points per game, presenting an opportunity for the Wolfpack offense to stay aggressive.
