TCNE Wolfpack Earns First Win of Season Over Tekamah-Herman Tigers
Tri County Northeast delivered one of its most complete performances of the season Monday night, pulling away for a 72-62 road victory over Tekamah-Herman on December 22nd.
The Wolfpack’s efficiency and balance on the offensive end proved to be the difference, as TCNE shot 46 percent from the field and consistently found quality looks inside. Jude Ridenour led the charge with a game-high 17 points, adding four rebounds and three assists while attacking the basket and finishing through contact.
Thatcher Lamp provided a strong all-around effort, scoring 15 points on 6-of-11 shooting while pulling down five rebounds and dishing out five assists. Tucker Anderson was also key, finishing with 11 points and a perfect 5-for-5 showing at the free-throw line to help the Wolfpack maintain control late.
TCNE’s inside scoring was especially effective, converting 57 percent of its two-point attempts while forcing the Tigers to defend the paint. Devin Reinert added 12 points and four rebounds, while Landyn Servine chipped in 12 points and helped space the floor offensively.
Beyond the scoring column, the Wolfpack’s defensive activity stood out. TCNE recorded 12 steals and forced 19 Tekamah-Herman turnovers, repeatedly turning defensive pressure into transition opportunities. Logan Morgan, Atlee Anderson and Knox Lamp all contributed defensively, helping the Wolfpack limit second-chance looks.
Tekamah-Herman struggled to match TCNE’s pace for long stretches, as the Wolfpack controlled the glass with a 25-18 rebounding edge and shared the ball effectively, finishing with 15 assists on 25 made field goals.
The win marked an important bounce-back effort for Tri County Northeast, showcasing depth, discipline, and improved execution on both ends of the floor. TCNE will look to build on that momentum as it heads into its next stretch at the Stanton Holiday Tournament on December 29th-30th. They will face Twin River at 3:45 pm at Stanton High School.
