Wolfpack Fall to Creighton on the Road
The Tri County Northeast Wolfpack football team traveled to Creighton High School for a road matchup with the Bulldogs, falling 44-6.
The Wolfpack struck first, putting six points on the board in the opening quarter. Junior Knox Lamp accounted for the touchdown, finishing the night with three receptions for 32 yards and the score. Freshman Madyx Beacon added a 20-yard reception, while junior Logan Morgan and senior Blake Kneifl each recorded eight receiving yards.
TCNE finished with 113 yards of offense, including 71 yards through the air and 42 on the ground. Kneifl led the rushing attack with 35 yards on 16 carries. He also completed 6-of-14 passes for 49 yards and a touchdown. Freshman Paxton Servine completed two passes for 22 yards.
Morgan helped the Wolfpack in the return game, totaling 87 return yards, including 62 yards on three kickoff returns and a 25-yard punt return.
Defensively, sophomore Ben Bousquet led TCNE with seven tackles and a tackle for loss. Kneifl and Lamp each recorded five tackles, with Lamp also adding a tackle for loss and a sack. Freshman Jacob Warner made his presence felt up front with three tackles for loss as the Wolfpack defense finished with six tackles behind the line of scrimmage.
After TCNE's first-quarter touchdown, Creighton scored 14 points in both the first and second quarters to take a 28-6 advantage into halftime. Neither team scored in the third quarter before the Bulldogs added 16 points in the fourth to secure the 44-6 victory.
