2024 Tri County Northeast Enters Year 3 of Cross Country

Tri County Northeast enters year three of cross country with 8 members

The Wolfpack cross country team will have the most members in its three-year existence starting this fall, as 5 girls and 3 boys will comprise the team.

The Wolfpack will be coached by Dave Uldrich and Tessa Braun.

Heading the girls’ squad will be senior, Bre Millard.  Millard is a returning state qualifier and owner of the fast course time for the Wolfpack.  Millard is a multi-meet medalist in her first two years.

Alejandra Hermosillo, a junior, is also a returning state qualifier.  Alejandra holds the second fastest course time for the Wolfpack.  Hermosillo also medaled numerous times in the past two seasons.

Rounding out the girls’ team is junior, Jenni Olson who has made remarkable strides in her course times in 2023 and could be an impact individual for the girls’ team.  Two freshmen, Chloe Peters and Hailey Millard complete the team.  The two freshmen are going to “learn the ropes” and work to improve each week.

The girls’ team finished fifth in last years’ district meet, just missing out on qualifying the team by 5 total points.

The boys’ squad will have returning runners, Alex Snyder, a junior, and Devon Lewellen, a senior are coming back to lower their times from 2023, while sophomore, Jude Ridenour is going to make his presence known by year’s end.  Also, a sub-20-minute runner should evolve from this trio.  That would be a first for the boys’ program.  Another goal of the boys’ squad will be to collect that elusive “first medal” in a meet.  Years one and two were tough fields, and this year with hard work and losing some great area runners, the door may be finally open to run through.

COACHES COMMENTS:

“The coaches are really excited about what these 8 athletes can possibly accomplish with daily hard work.  Without a doubt we have a couple of athletes that would like to repeat state appearances, but we also have some athletes that although are unknown right now, could be able to do some great things by the season’s end.  That’s the beauty of this sport.  It all lies in the hands of each individual athlete to push themselves to get better every day!”
