TCNE Lady Wolfpack put together one of its most complete performances of the season on day 1 of the Stanton Holiday Tournament, pulling away from Twin River for a convincing 55–34 victory.
The Wolfpack set the tone early and never let up, using strong defense and steady scoring to build a comfortable margin. The 55 points marked a season high for TCNE, a welcome offensive surge that helped the team seize control and maintain it throughout the contest.
With the win, Tri County Northeast Wolfpack improved to 3–4 on the season, evening out their record and gaining momentum as the schedule progresses. The loss dropped Twin River Titans to 3–4 as well.
Tri County Northeast saw its momentum slowed on day 2 of the tournament, falling 61–42 to a strong Stanton Mustangs squad.
Coming off an impressive win over Twin River the day before, the Wolfpack battled but struggled to keep pace with a very physical Mustang team, who used their depth and experience to build control as the game progressed. Despite the setback, the contest provided another measuring stick for a young TCNE team facing a challenging stretch of competition.
The loss dropped Tri County Northeast Wolfpack to 3–5 on the season, marking their third defeat in the last four games.
Tri County Northeast will look to regroup and bounce back when it hosts Bancroft-Rosalie at home (Emerson-Hubbard High School) on January 5, 2025.
