UNL Extension Hosts Elementary Agriculture Day!
The 2-4 grades had a great time at the ag festival at the Dixon county fairgrounds on September 15th! They traveled to the Dixon County Fairgrounds where they participated in stations learning about all things agriculture. Stations ranged in variety from learning about what foods, supplies and other items that corn and soy beans make, beef and dairy cattle. along with information about goats and chickens. There favorite stations seemed to be the drone sprayer and the Michael Foods station where they got to "be" a chicken at a certain age level and got to make their own special (candy) feed. Overall, it was a great day away from school and quality learning was had by all.
