Wolfpack Finish Season as D1-5 District Runner-Up
The Tri County Northeast (TCNE) Wolfpack wrapped up their impressive 2025 volleyball season as the D1-5 District Runner-Up after falling to the No. 5 seeded Shelton Bulldogs in straight sets on Saturday November 1st. The Bulldogs took the match 3-0 with scores of 18-25, 15-25, and 20-25.
Despite the loss, the 12th-seeded Wolfpack battled hard from start to finish, showing the determination and teamwork that defined their season. Senior outside hitter Kiya Tornez led the Wolfpack offense with 12 kills, continuing her strong presence at the net. Joslyn Mackling added two aces from the service line, while libero Emily Mitchell anchored the defense with 29 serve-receive passes and a team-high 11 digs. Setter Ally Belt directed the offense efficiently, collecting 22 assists in the match.
The Wolfpack end their season with an impressive 24-6 record, marking another successful year for the TCNE volleyball program. Though the championship title eluded them, the team’s strong season performance earned them the D1-5 District Runner-Up plaque and the pride their communities that cheered them on every step of the way.
TCNE’s grit, unity, and consistency throughout the season have set a strong foundation for future success.
