The Allen One-Act went to their first competition of the season on Saturday, November 9th. The team competed at Lutheran High Northeast in Norfolk, Nebraska against six other schools. Though the team was placed seventh, Devon Lewellen and Gabriel Olesen were both recognized as Outstanding Actors at this event.
On November 14th, the Allen One-Act competed again in Macy, Nebraska. Here, they performed against three other schools in a practice festival. No rankings were given to any schools, but Gabriel Olesen received an award for Best Performer.
The Allen One-Act will compete at the Lewis & Clark Conference Competition in Winnebago on November 14th and the Wakefield Festival on November 23rd before Districts at Pope John XXIIII Central Catholic in Elgin, Nebraska, on December 4th.
For anyone interested in seeing this year’s production, there will also be a performance at the school on November 26th at 7:00 p.m., which will be open to the public. We hope to see you there!
